Born and raised in the warm heart of Africa, Malawi, I had never set foot outside the continent until the turn of the millennium. At 18, with dreams as vast as the sky, I found myself enrolling for a hotel management degree at the prestigious École hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland.
